LiveCodeNet Ensamble
In the project Códigos dislocados: sctweets colaborativos members of the LCN Ensamble will program codes of 140 characters with the program SuperCollider at different times. Using e-mail as a means of communication, the first member will send a fragment of code to the next member, whom will have to modify the initial algorithm and forward the result to another and so on. The challenge is to keep the algorithm always within the character limit of Twitter. We will create seven collaborative algorithms of 140 characters, one of which will be uploaded each day of the residency period. In this way, the resulting code will illustrate a process of collaborative thinking through the algorithm’s creation, which is itself a medial object that can function either with the tool with which it was developed (SuperCollider) or simply be exposed in the Twitter network as a potential representation of sound in code form.

Multidisciplinary group that explores the possibilities of interconnection through local networks by performing live collaborative coding. Their presentations oscillate between experimental electronic music and dance and always feature the improvisational use of algorithms, as well as code as the sole interface. Formed in October 2013 by Katya Alvarez, Libertad Figueroa, Eduardo H. Obieta, Emilio Ocelotl, José Carlos Hasbun and Hernani Villaseñor.
